Chris brown’s Reality Dance Show

Chris Brown
I know what your thinking… Not another reality dance show… But hey, this one might be half decent (nah just kidding).
Here is the scoop:
Chris Brown will be working with Mark Burnett ( produced Survivor and the Apprentice) on a new reality show dance competition. The series claims to be based on hip-hop (”street”) dancing. Ohhh! boy, no offense but whenever the words hip-hop and street are used together it usually means some kind of “pop” choreography style dance; the kind that you see back up dancers at a Britney Spears concert doing.
But back to the show… The famous R and B singer plans to revolve the show around contestants heading off in a dance off. At the end of each round judge/host Chris Brown will choose the winner (no other panelists, if any have been revealed yet). As all reality dance shows airing currently this one will be also an hour long with a follow up episode were contestants are eliminated (some sources conclude).

“Dancing is more than just a way of moving, it’s a different expression of music,” A quote from Chris. “That’s what I want to focus on with this show.”

Really Mr. Brown? Well… I’d agree that there both a form of communication, but other then that there completely different.
Dance: an artistic form of non verbal communication.
Music: an artistic form of auditory communication.
Hmm… So let me fix that for you
Dancing is more than just a way of moving, it’s a form of communication and expression,”. Well there you go, all fixed.

So at this point I’m not to impressed with the decision to have Chris Brown decide the winner… He really comes off as someone with no knowledge on what’s good dancing and what’s bad (despite his smooth steps in his music videos). Are you? Comment back and voice your opinion.
