i am very flexible so that is not the problem. i got my splits in about 2 weeks but my strength is way off. i started with about a 45 degree extension at the highest and have progressed to a 90 degree extension but i want it to be MUCH higher. any STRENGTH exersizes you can reccomend? thanks!

when u do a battmon and hold it, where do u feel the muscle working??
do you feel it the top of the thigh, or do u feel it on the under side of the thigh????
You should feel it working at the under part(sorry dont know what that muscle is called lol) becuz when you feel it on the top, its just making those mucles big and bulky, and you cant get very high with those muscles,
its quite tricky to work the under muscle but once you figure it out its just about working it many times a week so the muscle gets use to working.

Work on both quad and hamstring exercises such as lunges across the floor. step forward with right foot and drop left knee so that it almost touches the ground, your right knee should be at a 90 degree angle. step up with left leg and do the alternate side… to work your hammies, do kick-backs. get on your hands and knees, arms directly below your shoulders and kick one leg at a time, as many intervals as you feel necessary, towards the back at an upward angle. you should feel the burn so dont cop out and just kick straight back. good luck!
