Hey dancers… we have some good news…

Well are main page has just been bumped up to a Google page rank of 4… so that’s some good news.
The site is also gaining a large amount of leechers… So as said yesterday are modules are currently being upgraded, and by next week Monday the download section will require at least 1 post to download a video… this basically wont affect old members, and shouldn’t be a hassle for new members seeing that its only 1 post… Now for some other news:

Advertisement:
During this month I will be working on a video ad (promo video) for the new dance origin site… So! if you have any video footage of you dancing that you think is good enough to be added into the video please either post it up in the forums or pm me with it.

New site: MD just contacted me today and as far as I know his friend is currently working on some graphics for the site.

VIDEO RELEASES:
On the 30th of this month I plan on releasing 5-8 new videos maybe more…
PLUS! For 7 days (through a yousendit link) I will be releasing a small archive containing never before released dance videos. NOTE: this will be the only time these videos will ever be put up for download.

Currently updating modules…. if things seem weird wait a bit and it should be better

Hey Dancers

Over the past few weeks me and MD have been working on plans for the new site, the new name has been decided and is: DanceOrigin.com
Our reason for the new name change is because we are currently working on expanding the site to upper body movement along with more dance styles in general. Don’t worry thought! Footwork will always be are roots, and will still be viewed as the most important part of the site.
Along with the new site name we have received a number of approvals from Invent and Morax, along with a few other dancers to host some of there videos and content.

So within this month expect these videos to be added:
Invent popping tutorial lesson 1
Invent popping tutorial lesson 2
Morax arm waves and body waves

* Along with a few articles and text tutorials which will be added to the up coming library.

The Theme:
The theme is still it debate, from the looks of it were sticking to are current colors. But expect new graphics soon, currently MD and his friend are hard at work on producing some high quality graphics for the site.

New videos:

I’m working on a couple different things; here a small summary:

1. First off all the tutorials will be redone, and maybe improved in some ways.

2. A 3.50 min video of me, containing alot of old footage that hasn’t been released, almost whole freestyle, this vid is done and will be uploaded soon, along with a new Michael Jackson Compilation which is also ready I only need to add some more things.

3. Then next are some new tuts of latin styles im workin on and finally my new videos of 2006, which will be three vids, most probable one c-walk freestyle, one gliding freestyle and one various freestyle.

4. Shifty’s will soon upload the long awaited air walk video, cause it has been promised a while ago.

The day the new site launches there will be major content updates;
like new tuts and alot of new vids but not only that ..

Along with the new site there will be:

* More Genres of dance ( We are expanding the type of videos we have to other forms of dance)

( 7/03/06 UPDATE !!!! New Tutorials of MD are ready, 6 of em, and maybe more, 4 will be uploaded this week for SURE, as soon as Shifty’s recieved the tuts from me, and that could be tonight.
Including: True Moonwalk, 360 Glide Tutorial and Reggeaton Basic Dance Steps Tutorial )

We will be going through some BIG changes in the upcoming months,
INCLUDING a name change.

We know www.streetwalkn.com ment alot for us and now the time has come to move off the street and go where we never went before.

Streetwalkn.com will always be our roots.

We don’t know exacly when & how it will happen .. YET, but it will be great, and it will bring WAY more depth and (FREE) dance content.

We thank all our loyal members once again for being real.

Some of the major upgrades will be:

– New theme
- Forum upgrade
- Download section upgrade
- New start page
- Members section upgrade (this upgrade will make it fully functional)
- New section! This new section will contain articles and written tutorials
- Invents articles and videos (Contain that will be added)
- New videos, ( Like Basic and Adv. Tutorials of Salsa steps, and Reggeaton which will be very helpfull for people who want to learn not only hiphop inspired dances, but want to learn how to dance with a partner, we will offer it all for free. ( MD has had alot of Salsa and Merengue classes in the Carribean ).

* ( 3 NEW POLLS ADDED WE. 1/03/06 )

Hey Streetwalkers,

Streetwalkn.com has been growing in size and content, the past year we’ve focused alot on new video content and to get the forum up and running and to get members active on the site, and now we’re going to take the next step by getting the site bigger with new dance content and sections and getting more guests videos online, and maybe we’ll eventually change the look and lay-out of streetwalkn.com, with better graphics etc.

We got alot of ideas that need to be worked out, but we can tell that the member video submit section (MVSS) is only the beginning, there will be more official sections and there will be twice as much content as we now have, ranging not only from videos but only other types of dance media, like text files, tutorials and whatever related to dance history that is important to know.

We will expand but Streetwalkin.com will stay free for everyone.

There are two new videos in the Compilation section, and one new one in MD’s section.

How2C-walk and The Boxglide tutorial are also up and available in the Lesson section, we hope you like them and find them helpfull.

Also new is a GREAT video of Damien, which MD recieved the 23rd of Nov, that due to size reason was cut into 2 videos .. it will be uploaded very soon.

New guests videos are also coming, probably this upcoming week.
The guest video(s) will feature breakdance and toprock mix, & maybe a little freestyle by MD.

Hi Streetwalkers,

Streetwalkn.com exists almost ONE year now.

& Alot has happend,

When www.streetwalkin.info started .. it didn’t go as smoothly as we had hoped, we had alot of problems.

Mainly thx to Shifty, it got better cause he solved the host problems .., I helped and gave ideas, and we started to believe in the concept of Streetwalkn.com, and that it could be bringing something good after all, not in the first place for us, but for the people who see our videos and want to learn abot all things dance.

After that, we managed to work on new videos, and things started to get better … , so here we are, and now we’re very exited about next year, and what it will bring for streetwalkn.com.

Hopefully it will bring more interesting things on all aspects of the site, and ALOT of new quality dance videos.

The 22nd of November we will be celebrating the first birthday of Streetwalkn.com and ofcourse we have to have presents 4 our members !!
So simply put we’re gonna release more NEW videos than we’ve ever released on one day.

N’cluding new tutorials, 4 walks and glides.
Compilations of music vids, and new videos of us.
The total # of videos that are gonna be released isn’t exact yet .. but it will def. be more than 5 videos.
Maybe even more than 10 !! lol ..

The release date of the Member Video Section is also the 22nd.
(We know we promised it a long time ago).
The Member Video Submission Rules and Guidelines will be released the 16th of November, .. that’s next Friday.

Shifty and I look forward to see some good videos in this section !!!

Next, I was thinking about a new special video which is gonna feat Shifty and me both, just like the Promo we did.
Like the Promo, a kind of special video for the 1 year Anniv. of Streetwalkn.com, anyway as soon a Shifty pm’s me back if he got time to record some extra footage for this project I will know more ..

So stay tuned & the news will be updated again before the 16nd of Nov.

Wasup Streetwalkers,

We’re very glad things are going good with the site .. we’ll also continue making it better. First of all Shifty is pretty busy this week with school, so not many updates this week from him but he’ll workin on some great things, including the member section.
I’ll be very busy next week and the first week of November, cause I got exams that week so don’t expect alot of new updates from me in that period, so that’s why I’m makin alot of new videos this week ..

We also want to thank all our Streetwalkin’ members for their interest in our site, active or non-active .. we now have more than 400 members !! ( the majority being inactive BUT ) .. it’s a milestone nonetheless and we hope to be online for years to come.

Extra news, we’re trying to contact dancers from other dance sites to ask them if they want to make videos for our site like different freestyle’s/how2′s/choreo’s .. some have already shown interest, but I haven’t got anything solid yet.
