Well since we had that error in the site I had to redo the theme a bit (I didnt have a back up of the original ) so some of the colors may seem a bit diffrent.
Also this week a few more articles and videos are being planned to lauch.
Other then that not much new is up.

The updates that were promised Tuesday are now up and running.
We now finally have the dance article section soon to be filled with dance tips, written tutorials, dance in the news, and more. We also have added a small button/link menu to the top of the site as suggested for easier navigation. Also next week more videos and articles are planned to be released.

Well it’s now into the 3rd week of august, and no updates have been done… so today (the 15th) I will be finally adding the library. Then this Thursday 2 new videos will be added. I can’t go into much detail about either right now (seeing that I’m still working on them) so at the end of today I will give a more in depth update on the updates.

During the 1st week of august DanceOrigin will be “cleaned up”
a few videos will be removed, new ones will go up, more categories will appear, and the site will reflect More styles of dance.

Well the site is finally up and things still are looking a bit odd.
So over the next few weeks the site will still be going through changes (mainly on the forums colors lol… trying to make it look like the old forums) There will be no down time thought.

The Promo video is going to be uploaded later today, along with the final version of the air walk lesson video.

Since the “Grand Opening” didn’t really work out how I wanted it to on June 30th, 5 to 10 videos will be uploaded, and by then all of the changes that needed to be done should be done.

Hey! Dance Origin is now open.

For the next week, things will continue to be tweaked as we wait for the grand opening (June 20th) were the new videos (yes including the promo video) will be added to the site.

Things still being worked on for Tuesday:
*The forums are not fully skinned yet and the colors are still being worked on.
*Library with written content will be added to the menu and will be available to use and summit articles.
*Menu placement.

NOTE: THE THEME AND LAYOUT WILL NOT BE BLUE AND WHITE ON TUESDAY.

MD’s video Oldskool, which was postponed, but shown already in the forum, is now also up.
It contains footage from 2005.

May 4th(By Shifty):
The amount of spam on the forums is still small, but to help prevent it I’ve added a new moderator in charge, Aaronlee03.
All Moderators now have the appropriate ranks by there name.
The videos which were to be released on the 30th have been pushed up, they will be released soon. (Date of release here: edit by Shifty)

The videos that will be up fo’ sure:
1. Air walk tutorial
2. Shifty dance session
(Then a archive of old videos which will be up for downloads for 7 days, after that they will never be uploaded again)

Summary:

So lotsa new videos soon in the database, we delayed a couple things and we always make it up to our members. BTW if you got a nice video of you showin off, don’t forget to supply your video our Member video database !!

Hey Dancers,

Well I was getting sick of the number of lechers who would join then download. So I finally updated the xoops module to one that has a leech protection.

New rules:
It takes only 1 post to download.
It takes only 100 post to upload now (being worked out as we speak)
Note: getting videos in the member section doe not require 100 posts, only uploading directly to the members section required 100 posts.

Other News:
The danceorigin.com launch has been set for late May, with the new site we hope to offer a lot more to our members.
Our goals are still the same thought; everything on the site will remain free !! .. about The Promo: The Promo video is now officially in the works. If you have anything to contribute send it to me (shifty) or post in the forums.

* Small detail about the database, The How2C-walk tutorial has been downloaded over 1000 times and The Sidewalk tutorial almost has !! Be sure to check these two videos out if you can use some lessons videos !! (MD Edit:) It has been some time that I released new stuff, mainly due to no camera to record my sessions, but expect a new video of me very soon, hopefully by the end of this month.
